Goodwill Opens Third Store in Lafayette
Attention, shoppers! Goodwill has found a third home in the Lafayette community. The new Lafayette-South Goodwill Store is now open. Designer clothes, brand-name merchandise, books and household items are just a few of the items offered at 3229 Daugherty Drive.
Shoppers visiting the new location will have a chance to win an iPod or portable DVD player through July 5. Two of each will be given away as prizes.
The new store employs 30 people and boasts 15,000-square-feet, three checkout lanes and a double donation drive-thru center. Hours for the new store are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Along with this location, Lafayette residents can still shop and donate at the Goodwill Stores located at 11 Shenandoah Drive, Lafayette, and 907 Sagamore Parkway W., West Lafayette.
Revenue generated from the sale of donated goods supports Goodwill’s services to help improve the education, skills, employability and economic self-sufficiency of adults and the future employability of young people.
New Goodwill Store Opens in Castleton
Attention, shoppers! The Castleton Goodwill Store has relocated to a larger, more convenient location on Indianapolis' northeast side at 6302 E. 82nd St. and is now open.
Designer clothes, brand-name merchandise, books and household items are just a few of the items offered at the new Castleton Goodwill Store.
“We are extremely excited about expanding our presence and increasing employment opportunities for people in the Castleton area,” said Tim Cooper, retail director. “The extended space will provide greater accessibility for donors and shoppers in the community.”
The new store employs 30 people and boasts 15,000 square feet, compared to the 10,300 square feet at its existing location - four checkout lanes and a double donation drive-thru center. Hours for the new store are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. |

Goodwill accepts a variety of donations including gently used clothing, shoes, housewares, furniture, toys and books. Donations to Goodwill are tax deductible, and receipts are available upon request.
Goodwill's Third Outlet Store Now Open on Indianapolis' North Side
On Wednesday, June 4, Goodwill Industries opened another retail outlet store, Goodwill Outlet Store-North, located at 8345 Georgetown Road.
At the Goodwill Outlet Stores, clearance clothing, housewares, glassware and toys are sold by the pound, and the price per pound decreases with volume. All other outlet merchandise is individually priced. Items sold by the pound in the outlet stores are not pre-sorted. All merchandise is sold as-is, and all sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are accepted. |

The outlet store is the third of its kind in Indiana, and the concept already has proven successful at the Goodwill Outlet Store-East, 2900 N. Shadeland Ave., and the Goodwill Outlet Store-West, 6650 W. Washington St.
The new northside outlet facility employs 85 people, who will work in the outlet store, donation center and warehouse, and boasts more than 14,000 square feet of retail space, over 100 parking spaces, three checkout lanes and a donation center. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. |

Goodwill auto auctions scheduled
Goodwill auto auctions are scheduled for most Saturdays throughout the year. Upcoming auction dates are:
- July 26
- August 9, 16, 23, 30
All auctions start at noon and are conducted at the Marion County Auction, 1300 S. Tibbs Ave., Indianapolis. Previews of the vehicles are available from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. the Friday before the auction at the South Tibbs site. A listing is available by clicking here.
