Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED Preparation
Adult Basic Education class offers individualized instruction in reading, math
and writing skills, as well as General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preparation.
Classes are taught by Indianapolis Public Schools staff at the Goodwill Michigan
Street location as well as other facilities throughout the community.
Community Based Evaluation
Job-seekers are given an opportunity to try working in different industries to help them discover the kind of work they would like to do.
Disability Services
Individuals with disabilities receive intensive, individualized assistance
finding and keeping jobs with the support of Goodwill staff using nationally
recognized processes. Counseling, paid on-the-job training, and job-retention
services are available. Goodwill employment specialists provide ongoing support
for both employees and employers.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
ESL classes are designed to help adults with limited English skills develop
a vocabulary which they can use in everyday personal, social and job situations.
General assistance finding a job
Goodwill has many materials and resources to conduct a job search. People can
use our resource centers on their own or with assistance from Goodwill staff.
Some of the services include: computers for writing resumés and cover
letters, access to the Internet and computerized job banks, telephones for
employer contacts, the latest job openings, and company profiles.

A full-service employment agency offering temporary, temp-to-hire and direct-hire placements, Goodwill Staffing Solutions is committed to providing quality employees and unique staffing solutions to companies in central Indiana.
Health Career Connections
Health Career Connections (HCC) is a partnership program between Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, Inc., and Clarian Health Partners that is designed to help individuals successfully obtain and maintain an entry-level job at a Clarian Health Partners facility.
Potential job applicants are encouraged to attend an information session that will provide valuable information on how to apply to Clarian Health Partners, details about working in the health-care industry and more. For more information, applicants should contact the HCC staff at (317) 962-6872.
Supported Employment

Transitional Employment
Employment opportunities and work experience are available through Goodwill's
Commercial Services Division. Individuals are hired as employees of Goodwill
and may work in a variety of settings. The goal of transitional employment
is to give individuals work experience so that that they are able to transition
into other jobs that will enhance their self-sufficiency.
Veterans Services
Goodwill helps veterans along the road to self-sufficiency through individual training and help finding and landing jobs. For veterans with disabilities, Goodwill staff can help find jobs that fit their abilities and devise ways to make jobs accessible to them.
Work Experience
Individuals in Work Experience develop work skills in an industrial setting at Goodwill while working with a case manager to develop an Individual Program Plan to identify and achieve their personal goals.
Youth Services
Young people ages 14–25 explore career fields, learn job-finding skills
and find the support from other agencies they need to succeed in life with
assistance from a team of Goodwill staff.
