In a Project Collect & Connect clothing drive, the sponsoring organization earns one $5 clothing voucher redeemable at any central Indiana Goodwill store for each bag of gently used women's, men's and children's clothing collected. The sponsoring group may distribute the vouchers to families and individuals in need of clothing or give the vouchers to Goodwill for distribution to individuals participating in job-training programs.

The entire community benefits when a group conducts a Project Collect & Connect clothing drive. Vouchers earned for a Project Collect & Connect drive can be distributed to families and individuals in need of clothing or to individuals participating in Goodwill’s employment programs.

Service organizations, schools, churches and businesses can help Goodwill and the community by conducting a Project Collect & Connect Clothing Drive.

When can Collect & Connect drives take place?
Clothing drives can be conducted at any time throughout the year.

What is the duration of a Collect & Connect drive?
Some organizations have a one-day drive and ask that people bring bags of clothing to a chosen site. Others have weeklong or monthlong drives and schedule a pick-up with Goodwill. Clothing drives must be scheduled for a specific period of time and cannot be conducted on an ongoing basis.

How many bags of clothing does it take to earn a clothing voucher?
Sponsoring organizations earn one $5 voucher for every bag of gently used clothing collected during a Project Collect & Connect drive. Goodwill will provide the proper size bags, or donors can bring donations to Project Collect & Connect drives in 13-gallon kitchen trash bags.

What happens to the clothes collected at a Project Collect & Connect drive?
All donations collected through the drives are sold in Goodwill stores. The sale of donated goods helps financially support Goodwill’s employment programs in central Indiana.
