“I like to come to work and help people,” Daniel says.

Daniel, who is mentally challenged and faces physical limitations that affect his walking, has worked at the store for four years. He lives with two roommates in an apartment and does his own shopping. He says his work makes him happy and allows him to pay bills, take trips, go on dates, and take his mom out.

“As an employee, Daniel is really bubbly, and he just makes the employees and the customers smile,” says Carolyn Wilson, Daniel’s assistant store manager for three years. “He has a good all-around attitude, and he’s just a good worker.”
